know i i know there's a big buzz about what's going on in the united states but can i tell you something whatever they decide is not going to change that0:27i'm a son of the king no matter what uh the country says the state says our county our church our families if you belong to jesus christ then you're truly truly free amen if you got your bibles i want you to turn to galatians chapter 5 you know i just want to for the ones that don't know who i am i'm just old country boy saved by jesus christ amen but i do run extreme ministries and i want to tell0:55you that just means that i'm a missionary to one of the places that needs it the most the united states you say well jeff i don't believe that well can i tell you that we are the third in the world of lost lost people only to india and china beats us in lost people today and i heard uh something about1:17three months ago that i cannot get over it just breaks my heart now it said that 92 percent so-called christians they say they're christians will go to their grave without leading one person1:38to christ and we're worried about all the other things that's going on well if you turn into your bibles to the glatians chapter 5 it says this so christ has truly set us free2:04now make sure that you are stay free and don't get tied up again in slavery to the law yeah i want to say as i am a missionary and i do travel i want to tell you that my heart stays broken my little brother sits over here with his wife and family my wife's sitting there and i'll tell you i mean i i can't get over what god has shown me and how satan is doing such a good time having such a good time in our lives today2:32you know this is what he says two listen i paul tell you this if if you are counting on circumcision to make you right with god then christ will be no longer a benefit to you i say it again if you are trying to find favor with god by being circumcised2:57you must obey every regulation in the whole law of moses now why does that matter because i'm going to tell you before christ you had to live by the law but i want you to i beg god to for maybe you to open your eyes to some things we're no different today can i say that we are no different today i want to tell you that everything i've got has got one verse on it3:24john 14 6 it says i'm the way the truth and the life no man comes to the father except by who me jesus christ guys there's no other way to heaven no other way to god's grace except through jesus christ so we need to realize that right off the bat you know i do witness i love witnessing but you know i hear some folks tell me well i need to go get my life straightened up3:49and then i'll come to church y'all ever heard that anybody in here besides me ever heard that can i tell you you can't clean yourself up it takes the blood of christ to clean you up and the whole old testament is a proven thing to show us that this is the way god intends it to be he says live you therefore perfect even as your father is in heaven is perfect you can't do that but through christ grace you can't so what paul's all upset about he's come establish this little church4:18and you know they're doing good but you know you got these legalistic people in every church that says no you got to do this and you got to do that can i tell you it's bowing your knees to jesus christ and jesus christ alone there's no other way i don't care if you've never missed a sunday to church you're still not going to heaven unless you bow your knee i don't care if you've won a thousand people to christ4:47and you haven't bowed your knee you're still not going to heaven i want to tell you something i was married to the the biggest i don't know what to say about my wife she sang in all kind of churches got a beautiful voice she was in ee went out every thursday night you know used to when we go knock on doors and tell folks about christ great christian woman5:16well she kept asking me early on in our marriage she said baby i mean she looked like what a christian woman ought to look like acted like she said do you think i'm safe hey i can't answer that only you and christ can answer that let me tell you a little later on you know i'm called to preach she's married to a preacher later on there was a revival going on my wife sitting in the back row5:43and god got all over and you know she did the same thing that maybe some of you here today has been doing you know everybody's got this great opinion of you and maybe you're you're lost here today you know it and god knows you're the only two people that can know it she got up from the back pew because she'd been arguing we got what you know i'm married to jeff huey6:07and she walked down and she gave her life to christ and there was a revival started it's christ and christ alone and that's what he's screaming that's what he's hollering hey we get saved and we want to add all this stuff to it no it's through jesus christ he says this in verse 4 it says for if you are trying to make yourselves right with god by keeping the law you have been cut off from christ6:34you have fallen away from god's grace and he's going we're going to get into it so don't let satan start running away to say you can do anything you want that is not what he's saying here but you can't add things to the gospel jesus came and he paid the price we talking about freedom we have freedom7:03from sin through christ i want to paint you a clear picture today it's not anything any of us have done here when we stand before a holy god he's not going to look at jeff's works he's going to see his son's blood that is covering my sins it's not by what jeff's done it's all about what his son has done and i received that gift and i received it gladly i praise god that i'm still7:32fired up about it do you know i was on my way to hell do you know that i was a misfit do you know people didn't invite me to church do you know when i was in school i still have a reputation it don't matter how many years i've been a preacher they still talk about what huey did then huey did in there but it's all been covered by the blood i bowed my knee and he changed my life that's what he's talking about8:01if you're trying to live something that you cannot then you've cut the grace off and hear me well see i think the greatest i mean the most challenging thing in the word of god is this me and y'all ready because you know i don't care what anybody else says god said in his word that you're the head and you're going to be held accountable8:31accountable accountable for your family okay we're going to clear that up right now but you know what the hardest thing in the word of god i believe to do is to love my wife as christ as what love love to what and gave what hey you know what i've told you i'm just old country boy and i'm love i'm in love with my savior but there's something i don't understand9:00you know there's all this bickering about this and that and all these things in the bible you know get over it let's just preach christ but let's think about something here's a god that says all that you can see and we can't even see it all the splendor of heaven says he holds it in the palm of his hand in the span of his hand that's from this finger to this finger that's a pretty big god y'all agree do y'all agree with this word that he spoke it into existence9:29into existence so he just spoke and there it was everybody agrees with that well good i'm glad y'all with me today now i want to ask you something he spoke a man into existence then he saw that he needed a help mate and he took something from man praise god because i'm not whole without my wife but in that man messes up now you're no more than a word spoken right9:59right i mean we agreed but then he's gonna send his only begotten son to die for something that he spoke into existence if that don't blow your mind then you're not thinking he loved me so much that he gave his son for jeff hughie and i'm to love my wife with that kind of love that i can't understand i cannot dish out you know what you gotta do10:28you gotta ask christ to do it through you y'all getting a picture now this is what paul said he said it's not about what you do it's about how much you let christ do through you say i can love my wife but if i want to love her like a godly man then i've got to let christ do it through me who better to run your life than the one that created it there is no one not one person here that knows what's exactly going to happen tomorrow but my savior10:57does paul's all upset because he he started on a solid foundation he told them it was about jesus christ he told them about grace he comes back and they're all doing this legalistic stuff they're adding to and he said you're killing grace verse 9 this is what he calls it he says this false teaching is like a little yeast that spreads11:27that spreads through the whole batch of dough now i didn't say it when you go to start adding your opinion when you start saying something besides christ that's false teaching he says 10 i am trusting the lord to keep you from believing false teachers god will judge that person whoever he is and who has11:57been confusing you and that's the reason i'm saying guys i want to tell you something today there's a lot of confusion going on y'all have no clue i wish and i say this a lot but you just really don't understand you know i've been out there for a long time preaching preaching god's word being in different churches being in communities12:27communities being in different countries all these things and it's easy to see when you're out here to look inward but it's a whole lot harder to look out sometimes and see what you're doing because you get caught up in it you make things right sometimes that are not and what i want to tell you today is that church sometimes now has come about12:56come about me can i tell you it's not about you it's not about the color of carpet or what kind of music or this it's about you you living christ sharing grace he says in 11 he says dear brothers and sisters if i were still preaching that about circumcision as some may say13:26may say i do why am i still being persecuted if i were no longer preaching salvation through the cross of christ no one would be offended here's here's where we're at we're so busy sometimes we're so busy talking about what i want what this is and what it needs to be that we we've left christ out you know no one's13:56no one's offended it's amazing to me no one's offended about anything until it comes to jesus christ have y'all noticed that you know i travel you know and i went to a place called silver silver city new mexico that's where it was and they had a religion there that i've never heard of and i asked about it and this is what the pastor told me it is everything you can imagine i mean even from white witches to everything you can imagine except for one religion i said14:25i said what's that if you believe in christ i said wow so they can do anything they want but don't talk about jesus wow if you're not talking about the grace of jesus christ then you're missing if you're making it about you you're missing you know we've come to the place14:55and i've done this many times we've come to the place where you know we've cut out prayer time praise god y'all do prayer time but we don't dare say what's going on in our life because we backbite everyone and we talk about everyone and i say this all time if you think you're in a healthy church then let me ask you a question and i've done this what if you stood up today15:25up today and said this is where i'm at a real church is someone that gets with you loves on you shows you christ i'm not saying that i'm for sin y'all understand that right but if i'm sharing christ christ is the answer if this whole church got up and fell on their knees over one lost soul what would happen next Sunday why15:54why guys we can't add to or take away we're to share christ you know what i got some brothers and sisters they're not living for christ i'm not gonna go out and point out their sins i'm gonna go out and point out jesus you16:23you want to lead somebody to christ it simply said this we are all sinners it says we have all come short of what how many all has so god settles all this law he didn't come to destroy the law jesus that's words where i didn't come to destroy it or take away or do away with i came to fulfill the16:53the lot the only way to jesus i mean to god is through jesus christ so you need to understand guys if you're not preaching jesus and jesus alone you're missing it you're missing it it's all about jesus verse 13 says this for you have been called to live in freedom my brothers and sisters but don't use your freedom to satisfy17:23satisfy your sinful nature instead use your freedom to serve one another in love you got to love one another look man i can love you it don't mean i'm more like you i can love you because you know what it don't matter what you're doing or how you're acting christ can fix it i17:52i used to say this all time and i've offended some and if you're a counselor bear with me just a second but if you're not telling folks about jesus christ you ain't fixing nothing because jesus is the only fix that stays fixed i can tell you how to do something all day long but if i introduce you to jesus christ then that master comes in through the holy spirit and he lives with you every day knows everything18:21knows everything that you're doing he knows all the things of your intentions what's going on in your mind every action and he's trying to guide you now who should we be listening to counselors i hope today that you're telling them about christ not a five step get out of whatever there's one step give it to christ and let him lead you through them steps we're so busy about looking at18:51looking at other people and other things saying you know my way is the best way no there's only one way john 14 6 i am the what the way the true the lie nobody not one person comes to the father except through me i hope that you get that burn it in your mind put it on your bible that you always hold up to that verse 16 says this so i say19:21let the holy spirit guide your lives then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves now right back to where we were hey you know i've got probably one of the neatest testimonies it's not how bad i was y'all know i got saved on my wedding day on my wedding day i mean the most awesome thing in the world i don't forget my wedding day because the two19:50greatest things in my life happened on the same day i got married to christ and got married to that godly woman that god gave me i can't forget it you know i'm one of those guys that birthdays don't mean anything to me i mean really i'm not one of those guys you know holidays and that kind of stuff i just i like living life you know but when it comes that day that's a special day it's the most special day20:19day because that's when christ came in and i have been set free so what am i trying to say i'm trying to say this it's not changed any much you know i had two parents that were godly folks raised me in church probably had two of the greatest sets of grandparents that a guy could ever have but you know what i didn't choose that path oh i went to church20:49to church but i thought church was about a bunch of laws and rules and regulations i had no clue how free i could be through christ so you know if you're not married today ladies i mean i do a lot of weddings and i hear this more and more today i'll ask21:19i'll ask myself what what kind of ceremony are you looking for you want to be a sure enough gospel ceremony a lot want that are you looking just getting married and i'm waiting sometimes i hear this but jeff i just don't want that submit part in there and you look around at some marriages and i don't understand why they don't can i21:44can i be real honest with you today when you're in love you never see it as submission and it's not just for the woman i love holding my wife's hand i love doing things for her that's not mother's day or it's not our anniversary because i'm in love with her22:13with her we've kind of put this out here that you've got to live a certain way to be a christian no i live a certain way because i am a christian not because i have to i want to i received that love and it changed my life if you're not in love with him i would really doubt that you're saved because i don't know what you can22:43fall in love with more than jesus christ he's always got his arms open hey he loves you with a love that you can't even understand he gives you a peace that says it passes all your understanding how awesome is a god like that and he knows that i'm a sinner but when i ask him to forgive me y'all know what my christ does he forgives me and forgets y'all hear23:13y'all hear what i'm saying he forgets i don't mean he actually takes it from his mind he just never brings it up again now how many y'all get in a fight and then you know that's what the fight it starts off with one thing but then it comes to well you remember i'm glad me and you're not the only one that does that baby oh i just23:39i just i'm just mortified by what i see and how i see where we've become as christians today you know it's come to the part where i hear bashing of one another y'all help24:07y'all help me god says that we are what one body but what many members i mean i don't know if you've looked in the mirror but there's all kind of different parts on this body okay see if it's24:34all about jesus christ and guys i want to tell you i brag on bethel i do why because you you have a youth pastor still teaching your kids to serve you know we we do camps and stuff and we've used other churches kids sometimes to help with camps and it takes me sometimes a whole week convince kids that hey it's not about you you're here25:04you're here to serve them y'all hear me but we've got to the part where because they don't exactly do music like me or they don't exactly do worship like we do y'all know that my pinky and my little toe don't do the same things y'all know that you know i don't really know what the little toe does but i do know this when i stomp it or i stub it against something the whole25:34the whole rest of this great big body knows it and it's suffering over it what would happen in the united states if the churches of god came together what if we didn't turf and everybody says what is turfing turfing is this turfing is hey this is our group of people26:03of people and your group of people don't mix with our group of people and you stay away from my group of people and i'll stay away from your group really i want you to go home and cut your big toe off and ask me how long it survives because the way i see it the way the scripture reads is this we are one great big church of god and my thumb don't do the same26:33thing as my big toe and my hand doesn't do the same thing as my foot but they need one another separate they're not worth anything and you know this body has blood that just rushes all through that brings life into this body and if we just let christ run through our churches then we'll see our towns change then we'll27:01then we'll see our counties change then we'll see the state change and then we'll see this country change back to what it was because i don't care you can argue all day long this country was founded on god's word not man's word god's word and we need to get back to it's about jesus christ quit adding and taking away from it's about jesus christ27:30jesus christ if you're not sharing jesus you're missing it if you're not asking god to show you how to live every day you are missing it you cannot do it without christ just like your body cannot survive without blood you know it goes on to talk about our sinful natures and what it is and what it means to be whole and it gives all those things guys27:59guys can i tell you if you have all those things going on in your life and the holy spirit ain't trying to pull you back and get you to the foot of the cross i really doubt that you don't you even know jesus because i want to tell you i tell my wife all time it's not a narrow road i feel like you walk a razor butt because the least little thing the least28:27the least little attitude thought or whatever can change your direction it's all through his grace but paul says hey he actually says heaven forbid that you remain in these things that grace may abound what he's saying is hey just because i'm saved don't mean i'm free to do anything no if you're in love if you're in love you want to be you know i've got three little grandkids28:57little grandkids and i was laughing at one we just got back from vacation carried my whole family to murder beats i got two uncles they're pastors up there and i wanted to see them and we hung out and had one of my little grandson he's with his dad and they were looking for a key that was lost and had a flashlight and you know he's just a year old but his dad was up under looking at the couch and he's right there with him most precious thing i've saw but that's where we ought to be wherever our29:26wherever our father is that's where we ought to that's what blackie said you know find out where christ is working and be there but you know we've made church about this building and this is not church this is a place of worship you are the church this building is just a building what brings christ into it is you so when you're at work there are the churches when you're29:54on the ball field they're churchy oh man not even gonna go there that's a whole another sermon right listen to what he says in verse 24 those who belong to christ have nailed their passions and desires of their sinful nature to the cross and crucified i have no desire to be that guy that once30:23was no desire i want to be like my father i want to be so much like my father that when i get to heaven you know this is all honesty i mean i don't have a mask and i mean i'm always blunt about things but i want to tell you straight up i don't worry about it or are we going to get to fish in heaven hunting in heaven into the gold streets am i going to have a great big building you know i never30:52crossed this in my mind i just can't wait to be in the presence of my savior and all i keep thinking about was the first judgment house and it started right here the first judgment house that jeff you was a part of the first one that was in pale city they asked me to be a counselor well i actually do the closing went through get to the part where heaven is and jesus comes out and he puts his hands on my shoulders and he says well done thy faithful servant31:21son it changed my life i was preaching blowing going i mean you can't imagine all the stuff but then i realized guess what guys every second you're going to give account for it so all i can think about is hearing those words really come out of my master's mouth it's well done31:50i'm not worried about nothing else i just want to please him you know my wife is i mean my goodness i don't know a woman that serves more guys i feel sorry for you but i'm just going to tell you i sit down i come in you know i do all kind of outside ministry i come in my wife walks up to me with she'll ask me what i want to drink fix me a glass of tea i mean she serves me not because she has to she's in32:20love with me i want to serve my savior it's about jesus it's not about me it's not about you it's about jesus christ it says in verse 25 it says since we were living by the spirit let us follow the spirits leading us in every part of our lives can you say that today that you are32:48holy spirit led verse 26 let us let us not become conceited or provoking one another or being jealous of one another this is where i get my heart tore our ministry is a service33:18ministry we do things that no one knows we come and build stuff and no one ever knows who we are or what we've done we don't want it because we're not doing it for that our ministry comes every year and helps y'all with operation change our ministry came every year and helped you with judgment house we didn't want no fame we don't ask for no money we just want33:47to serve we want to help you build you we want to serve you in such a way that you can reach other people but my heart gets ripped apart and this thing comes about this church and that church and i'm going to say this there was a lot happening this time on the site that i was at and just to prove to you why my heart gets tore out because34:17because you know we helped out a ministry called just right ministries this ministry helps the inner city kids of leeds pretty good ministry but we were tearing out some stuff to do the prep work for some buildings so that they can better minister to the inner city kids of leeds well i don't have anything to do with y'all does it but you34:46but you were helping but then another church another pastor thought that bethel baptist church was fixing to start a ministry in their town they called the right guy they call me this is what i said all they started telling me no i had to go before the fire marshal and had to do all these things i said whoop whoop let me back up i'm35:16i'm jeff i'm with extreme ministry we're here to serve others i'm here helping brad hollison from moody out minister minister in lees to one of your ministries so they can better minister to the inner city kids oh oh oh well we we thought35:46we thought that bethel was moving you know that made me sick mad upset when are we gonna come to the part where hey let's say there's a church comes across the road y'all know bethel can't reach everybody y'all know that and that we're on the same team we got the same daddy when i got through with him very nicely36:16nicely but with the truth he said well we need to be helping you i said yes you do y'all know what a megachurch is oh somebody's gonna say oh it's a big church you got lots of money no megachurches are not big megachurches is not in competition with nobody they have the opportunity if they can use their gifts they're gonna use it if you need help36:45help they're gonna step out there and they're gonna be that help that you can come here and you can be prayed over that you can seek out sanctuary that you can be healed that you can be fed that you can be equipped and sent back out that's a megachurch because that's the father's church and i do get to say that about y'all but i'm just telling you today don't lose your focus it's not37:14it's not about moody it's about jesus it's not about bethel it's about jesus it's not about you it's about jesus christ and when you make it about jesus guess what starts happening god starts happening when you realize you can't do it but god said you can do all things through him guess what37:44what it happens so i want to tell you today if you're upset across with somebody let's get over it this world cannot i don't want to hurt anybody's feelings bust your bubble can i tell you it's going to get worse i've read the end of the book y'all hear me i tell my little brother all the time i said and we tight i mean we're really tight but i tell him38:12all the time we got to spend more time together because it's just going to get worse and when it all comes crumbling down we're going to have to stand side by side because when my arms are tired i need him to lift my arms up when his arms are tired i need to lift them up i don't need to be worried of what my little brother's doing i need to be worried about what we're doing for christ worry about what you're going to stand before a lord and savior one day about38:42day about what is going to be said are you going to hear the words well done and i hope and pray it's not the saddest verse in the bible where it says depart from me for i never knew you and they start screaming out all these things all these words so i want to tell you once again if you don't know jesus i don't know what you're waiting on39:12on if you know jesus then live like it realize that you're a sinner saved by grace and when you mess up stand up say i messed up and say that's not how my savior wanted me to live that's a christian you know i always cry when i'm part of a ordination of a deacon or a pastor because i know what they're going to go through it just breaks my39:42breaks my heart but you know the greatest preachers and the greatest deacons are not the ones that look they've got a great big bible in my book the greatest deacons and i've been at this a long time are the ones that always stands up and say i'm not worthy what he called the ones that still shake when they're asked to do something the ones that realize it's not by their ability40:12ability but by god's ability so if you're here today and you want to do great mighty things let it be about christ i'm going to ask the ones that's going to come do the invitation if they'll come and i'm going to ask the rest of you to if you will if you would stand as they come i know i've said a lot of things and maybe none of it made sense40:41made sense to you maybe it did make sense to you but i want to leave you one thing can i tell you we're not in a battle against one another so let's stop that i'm begging you as a missionary united states let's stop that it says for i wrestle against what principalities satan that's my battle and the biggest battle is the one that goes on here it's my spirit against my41:11against my flesh and you know what you're the only one that can choose which side is going to win amen i want to ask you if you bow your heads and i'm going to ask the counselors if y'all come down but i'm going to ask everyone to bow your heads no one looking please i just need you to be real honest so i believe in prayer and i promise you no one's looking around41:41looking around no one's looking at you but christ is i want to ask you a question maybe you're like my wife was for so many years she wrestled i mean she was a good person she wouldn't like her husband she was a good person but she realized there was something different maybe that's you today and say brother jeff i really don't know i'm really wrestling if i died today i'd go to heaven i really don't know and you42:10and you would like me to pray for you i'll just ask you raise your hand i'm not going to come to you but i want to pray for you so i don't know brother jeff really if i died today i would go to heaven anybody i see that hand anyone else i see that hand and that hand anybody else just be honest there ain't nobody coming to you i just want to pray for you now christians i want you to be honest take the mask down you might see more people saved how many42:40how many have you made it about you it's got to be this way and that way there's only one way his name's christ he said brother jeff i've been falling short of that i've been in my own little bubble anybody raise their hand say hey that's me brother jeff hands everywhere well you know what i'm just going to ask you to come to the altar on both there's people here who wants to help you pray with you i don't care what your sin is you think i'm gonna be embarrassed god43:09god already knows he's just home waiting on you to say i'm sorry did i tell you we're just like my grandkids it's amazing me to make one of them say i'm sorry it's like oh my goodness we're no different god is waiting to shed his grace he's waiting on you and only you can stop you would you take his word and go43:39and go today father i just i pray for the ones that said they don't know you lord i just beg you to give them the boldness the wisdom father to cry out to you today god for the christians that's here today father i pray i beg you lord that that we would stop all this about me mine and i and it would be about you it's not44:08it's not about pointing out sin it's about pointing out you father i pray for this church god i love this place i thank you for the pastor there and all the ones that are here lord i lift them up to you father and i pray that they wouldn't change except for one that they get stronger toward you i ask the saints in christ's name brother
