Zacchaeus was a wee little man and a wee little man was he. He climbed up in a sycamore tree because the Lord he wanted to see. And Jesus looked at him and said, Zacchaeus, you calm down. I don't know if that's how it went,

For example, Jesus Christ himself says these words in Luke chapter 19, that the Son of Man has come to seek and save the lost. Jesus also says in John 18, I have not lost one of those that the Father has given him. So this idea of lostness pervades scripture. It's not an antiquated term. And really, I believe that the Word of God demonstrates that every believer,

You don't come back from that. Jesus says that no one is good except God. There's no one good that's here. But here's the hope in Jesus. Listen to these words in Luke 19. The Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost. And the first step to you being saved is to say today, God, I realize for the first time I'm lost. And I'm not getting out alive, but I believe that Jesus is who he says he is.

So, Father, we come to you today asking that you open our hearts to your faithfulness, to your grace, and to your mercy, and that you will give us strength to live that out this morning. And I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen and amen. If you have your Bibles with you today, open to Luke chapter 19. Luke chapter 19. Now, this is not normal for our church and for my protocol as I preach, but we will look at different scriptures today.

You might know it as a parable of the talents, but what we see in Luke 19, the parable of the 10 minas. Not minos, not the little fish that swim. Minas, M-I-N-A-S. Luke (That you may know)

    • 13:23Luke 19

Luke 7, 13, Jesus sees a widow who is parading down the street with his son, the only son that has died. In Luke 7, Jesus, when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said, do not weep. It takes one glimpse from the Savior to change your life. Luke 19, 41. Now, as Jesus draws near to Jerusalem, he sees the city and weeps over it, because he knows that the city will not embrace him.

And the entire chapter of Luke chapter 15 could literally be summed up as three things, lost, found, and rejoice. Even later, the book of Luke tells us in Luke 19 verse 10, the Son of Man had come to seek and save that which was lost. That was God's part of this enormous eternal plan. He had his plan.
