That's exactly what happened to Samson. It's one of the most devastatingly sad verses in all of the Bible. Judges 16, verse 20. I'm going to read it for you. Then Delilah cried, Samson, the Philistines are here. And he woke up from his sleep, and he said, I will escape as I have done before and shake myself free. Because in the past, Samson had the spirit of God over him.
