And our allegiance to Christ, our devotion to him, yes, it will produce a dependency on Christ, but it will also produce an honest heart before him. And just listen to last week's sermon in Jeremiah 18, that it is true that, yes, we do tend to struggle with the sovereignty of God. It's true that God's sovereignty does produce anxiety within us.

Until you read Jeremiah. And we see today that in Jeremiah 19, he takes a jar to the valley and smashes it and says, you are vessels worthy of my glory, but you're fractured. He goes down to the potter's house in Jeremiah 18. And says, no, I want you to, I want my people to be formed. As a potter forms the clay, I want my people to be formed by the spirit of the living God.

…builds us up. It builds us up. So what does that look like? How do we know that God's grace is constructive in our life? We have a beautiful picture of God's grace in Jeremiah. If you want to turn there, it's actually Jeremiah 18. I'm going to read two, three verses. The Lord calls his prophet Jeremiah down to this village to see this man working. And it's found in Jeremiah 18, verse four.
