1 Peter 4, don't be surprised when suffering comes your way. Don't act like something unusual is happening to you. So as believers, as Christians, we're not surprised. We do know that different types of suffering will come our way. But I do think we need to ask the question, as we look at Jeremiah today, how do we lament before God?

Because the Bible never teaches that God's people escape judgment. Actually, 1 Peter says it this way. For the time has come for judgment to begin. 1 Peter 4, 17. And it begins with the house of the Lord. And if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who disobey the gospel of God? So judgment is coming for the people of God and is coming for the world.

Christ prepares us. He prepares us for what might lie ahead. And radical upside down living rejects me first, Christianity. It rejects that. Are you ready? Are you ready? Upside down living, giving and sacrifice. Look at what 1 Peter says, 1 Peter 4. He says this in verse 13. Rejoice. What? Rejoice.
