means that we have to bow our head and bend our knee to King Jesus. So how can we say we will not submit to anyone or anything if we said fundamentally by faith, we submit to Jesus Christ? Submission means voluntary submission or deference to another person. This is not the only time or the first time that this is used in the New Testament. Take for instance, 1 Corinthians 16. Christians are to submit to spiritual leaders.
