  Have you been redeemed from the penalty of your sin? Not only the penalty, but we're also redeemed from the power of sin. The power of sin. Christ redeems us and liberates us from its power. Romans 6, 4. Again, Paul. A sinner himself, a murderer, a blasphemer. Paul was righteous and zealous for God, but hated Jesus Christ. Until he met Jesus Christ on the road.

  Until he met Jesus Christ on the road. Paul says this about Jesus in Romans 6, 14. He says, sin will not rule over you because you are not under the law, but under grace. It's Paul's way of saying the redemption of Christ has redeemed you from the power of your sin, which means several things. First, if you say, well, Pastor, I sin and it's not my fault. If you are in Christ, it is your fault.

  And if you and I think that we're inoculated, if we think that we are invincible for losing the presence of God, listen to what Romans would say. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Romans 6 says, for the wages of that sin, for the wages of you and I falling short is death. Death can be defined this way. Death is the loss of the presence and the glory of God in your life. So let me ask you a better question.

  Listen, there is a job, responsibility for every person. And whatever God gives you is important. You matter because God has called you. The second thing is this.
