  Unless you and I have the heart of a disciple. Psalms 37 says, Seek the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. But sometimes I don't think we really want the desires of our heart. Because if we're honest, sometimes the desires of my heart aren't necessarily the desires that God has for me. So I think our prayer should be, God, give me your desires in my heart and then give me the desires of my heart.

  Trust the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will make your path straight. We've got to trust him that every step in this journey, he has already mapped out for us. Psalms 37, verse 23 and 24. The steps of the man who are righteous are established by the Lord. When he falls, he shall not be hurled headlong, because the Lord is the one who holds his hand.

  But we choose to live in that misery. So we need to ask God to help us play it down and pray it up. Listen to what the Word says in Psalms 37. Blessed are those who mourn. But too long we take our mourning and we hold them into moanings. We want to moan about it. We want to complain about it. We want to wallow around in it. Commit your ways unto the Lord, Psalms 37 says. Trust Him. Commit your ways.
