Psalms 27 says, Lord, one thing I ask, to dwell in your house forever, to see the beauty of your presence. When's the last time you saw the beauty of the Holy Spirit in your life? The power you need is the person that you have. And Jesus says, this is the why of the power. Because I know what you're hearing. We read this and say, I got power. Power, wonder working power. I'm about to do something for me.

It'll just be there. It's like a nightlight. The sun and moon will be there, but that will not be our light. Because the Bible says the Lamb is the light. The New Jerusalem reminds us that life can only be lived in the light of the Lord. Because He is our light and our salvation. That's what Psalm 27 tells us. It's the same reminder that John gives us in his gospel. That in Christ was life, and that life was the light of man.

We should live knowing that light drives out fear. Psalm 27 verse 1, the Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom should I fear? Some of us today are fearing people. Maybe it's a boss at work. Maybe it's a crazy co-worker. Maybe it's a crazy church member you're sitting by today. Crazy neighbor. Maybe you are that crazy person. Right? Sometimes the one we should fear most is the one that we see in the mirror.
