…experience. Amen? If you can relate to that, not one-up them in their situation, but if they can see that you've gone through that, they will be more apt to listen to what you have to say. The Bible is quite clear in Proverbs 20, verse 30. The Good News Version says sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us change our way. God uses pain to correct us. God uses pain and suffering to redirect us.

And it's time, and we wonder why our families are falling apart. Let me tell you something, folks. God is looking for men who will be men of consistency. Looking for men who put character before conformity. That's what God is looking for. That's what the world is looking for. Proverbs chapter 20, verse 7. Notice what the word says. The righteous who walks in his integrity. Blessed are his children after him.

He gets our attention in our pain. Where there's no pain, sometimes there's no gain. So we need to listen to God's response. Proverbs 20, verse 30 says, Sometimes I take painful situation. It takes a painful situation to make us change our ways. If you listen, he will speak to you, guide you in the path of righteousness. He will correct your broken dreams. Your broken lives, your broken homes, your broken down careers.

6:04Proverbs 20
…away from it. It's in our minds. Although we may confess it, it still comes popping up into our minds. Even if we go to a new location, join a new church, be involved in a new ministry, it still carries along with us. Proverbs 20, verse 27 says, The Lord gave us a mind and a conscience. We cannot hide from ourselves. So that begs the question, how do we get rid of the guilt?
