  Some of you are biblical scholars and say you're turning in your Bible right now thinking, okay, well, pastor, Micah 5, where's the son of David? Zephaniah 1, where's the son of David? Malachi 3, verse 5, the last book of the Bible, where's the son of David? Then I would say, well, why did you stop there? Why not turn in your Bibles to Matthew chapter 1, in verse 1, where Matthew says,

  So we have the Old Testament and the New Testament affirming this tithe that he gives because it's a sacrifice. We're fundamentally built upon obedience. In Malachi, the Lord's reminding his people that they are robbing him in Malachi 3.9. Obedience. In the New Testament, listen, you say, well, here we go, Pastor's asking for the tithe again. Something I've already alluded to. Jesus condemns

  Abundantly and consistently. Malachi 3, verse 8. Malachi 3, verse 8 says, will a man rob God? And let me just say this, as an Old Testament scholar, there's not, you're not a good enough thief to rob God and get away with it. Right? There's no night that's dark enough. There's no mask that will hide your face.
