In Luke 7, there's this episode where this lady comes and she, Jesus is at this Pharisee's house and they're having this beautiful dinner. And this woman comes and she stoops down. And the Bible says that she anoints with oil his feet. And she begins to wipe the oil off with her hair. And the Bible says that she weeps over his feet. And she kisses his feet, which is completely gross to me.

What if the reminder that God's new birth begins in barrenness is a reminder to you that God wants to start something new in your life today? What if God's new chapter begins in a season of barrenness and brokenness? What if you hear, like the woman in Luke 7, your faith has saved you. Go in peace. And I read this and I begin to think, what did Hannah bring to the table for such a glorious hope and future to Israel?
