He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind,

What is the Messiah? It is the one who is anointed. Anointed by who? The heavenly Father anointed his only son to save the world. And he anointed him this way, to preach good tidings to the poor.

  That's for those who are saved and those who are on the fence. Our fallen nature leads us into a place of rejection. But, but there's hope. I want you to listen to the words of Isaiah 51. Jesus actually reads Isaiah 61, but Isaiah 51 brings this out to us. That his rejection brings you and I redemption. He was despised and rejected by men. A man of sorrows, acquainted with grief.

  …to remove your guilt and relieve your grief. He, He is in that business. You're still alive, and He's got work for us to do. God is not through with you. The rest of your life can be the best of your life. I love what Isaiah 61 says. Listen to what it says. To all who mourn, He will give beauty for ashes, joy instead of mourning, praise instead of heaviness.
