The Jewish exile refers to the period of ancient Jewish history when the Israelites were forced to leave their land because of their disobedience.   But we people are a stubborn lot. And in 586, Jerusalem falls. And for all intents and purposes, the people of God were never the same. And God took them away into captivity to Babylon. And we see in Isaiah 5 and 1 Chronicles chapter 6 that God told them this would happen. And God sends his people into exile with tears.
