• 16:31Ezekiel 37

  And God comes to Ezekiel in Ezekiel 37 and 38 and he brings us to this valley and he's overlooking the valley. And he says, son of man, what do you see? And Ezekiel says, well, I see a valley of dry bones. I see people that have been broken and worn and pulverized. And God says to Ezekiel, well, Ezekiel, son of man, tell me, can these bones live? And Ezekiel is a prophet.

  And Nicodemus has an answer that we should have if we're really thinking. He says, how does that happen? How can one jump back into their mother's womb? See, Jesus is reminding him, I give new life. You must be born again. I am radically making you new through the resurrection. In Ezekiel 37, God brings this prophet who is proclaiming good news. And he brings him to this valley of dry bones. It probably sounds like a church.

• 22:13Ezekiel 37

  This is the power of the empty tomb. And in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, for those of us who believe, we have the same power of the gospel in the resurrection. We find the grave clothes tossed aside because Jesus is the life giver. It's the same power that we see in Ezekiel 37. Ezekiel, the prophet goes to this valley of dry bones and God says, speak to these bones. Now, as a preacher, I can kind of get what he's doing right here.
