Asking for a Friend

  Now the Greek word, ekklesia, used 114 times roughly in the New Testament, means an assembly. Assembly of believers. It also could just name the corporate, the people of God in general. Matthew 16, 18, where Jesus says, upon this rock I will build my church. I will build my ekklesia. The gathering of my people. Ephesians 1, 22 says the same thing. Ephesians 5, 25 says the same.
